The V10 Bash.org challenge. [12/27/2009 @ 9:06pm] br_wtf [izunami] Well...a few of us attempted this last round and it never worked...because I think every single one of us trying it NPCed.  Essentially...for those of you who don't know...bash.org is a website of fucked up internet quotes.  www.bash.org Last version, while playing around on the site, we realized that some of the quotes sounded like they could have come from our V9 character.  Example:  Akio Hayakawa So because Laurra and I had fun finding the quotes last time...we decided we needed to do it again this time.  If you want to take the challenge, respond to this and we'll find you something that could be logically said by your character.  It might be a one liner or a conversation between two people.  After we give you that...your job is to find a way to incorporate it into some post next version.   We're just doing this now because 1.  we're bored and 2.  we're still bored. V10 [12/26/2009 @ 9:47pm] br_ooc [sashwizzled] Right, from the discussion in the previous post, and the mod discussions that have gone on, we've decided next version is OC. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that was taken as given in chat and everything, but just to make sure we're all certain and good. So ON THAT NOTE. You know how every version, we have city kids and we have town kids and the location is given not long before opening post and we all pretend we know something about that city so we can spice up profiles and backstory just in time for the game beginning? So enter V10 \o/ So this was a chat idea from like a bazillion years ago that I've been mentally building building building, and here we go: A SMALL ISLAND COMMUNITY. HOW DOES THAT SOUND? I'm thinking this intimate community of kids who've all grown up together. It's a whole new set up and dynamic, and we really want everyone to work together to make this an Epic Version. Everyone gets a say, is able to dictate how it all starts and ends and goes and all that jazz. Majority rule rules (unless the majority rule is absolutely retarded and impossible :| The town is absolutely not going to a travelling circus community no matter how many of you beg) It does mean some things are impossible, though - shenanigans are cool, but any kind of crime isn't going to fly, I'm afraid. Or rather, it can, but everyone is going to know about it - so your secret child prostitution ring plot is not going to be so secret, I'm afraid. As is your rock band. Etc. Basically, if you want your character doing illegal things, everyone is going to know. Including local law enforcement - hint hint. Hell, feel free to use that in a plot. Does anyone have anything essential to their plot that means something needs to be added/mentioned/taken into account? Do we want to go into any detail? You know how we said that, as each report is three weeks apart, there won't be any extensions this version, as nine months should be plenty? Well, we're sticking to that, just so y'all know. XD HOWEVER! Because we're not quite complete fascists, how about this? One week extension between now and the next report. Next report should have been due January 4th; now it will happen January 11th. This is taking into account the Christmas and New Year holidays, where I'm pretty sure most of us will have other things on our minds, such as beginning shopping for gifts, gorging on turkey, standing outside in the freezing cold, and similar highjinks.
